The Lord was speaking to me this morning about how we allow so many things to talk us out of doing what He is asking us to do.
We don't feel capable.
We compare ourselves to others.
And the list could be endless.
The problem is that we are hearing God from heaven and evaluating the situation from earth. We need to learn to evaluate situations from our "seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" position.
When God asks us to do something we have this really bad habit of allowing our imagination to run wild. We can go from a bad imagination to an elaborate one. God does show us where He is taking us some of the time, but most of the time He asks us to step out in faith.
We have to stop judging our selves by our abilities.
Stop judging what He is calling us to do by how big or insignificant we see the task.
You are going to have to die to your self and be willing to look foolish.
Jdg 6:15 And he said to him, "Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."
Dead men aren't worried about God making them great, they are focused on their God being great.
May we all die a little more each day.
Till next time......
